Duties on the Bench

Preliminary property reassessment notices will be mailed out in March of
2017 as part of the County-wide property reassessment effective January 1,
2018. Our primary speaker for October 26 is John Mavrides, Director and
Chief Assessor of the Assessment Office. John has been with the County for
over 22 years and will present "Lancaster County Property Reassessment."
Joining him will be Jeff Klugh, the Operations Manager for the Assessment
Office with 30 years of service to the county and Kevin Edwards, Computer
Appraisal Analyst who helps oversee the Homestead program for the Assessment
Office.  Kevin has been with the County for 20 years.  The presentation is
geared to provide listeners a better understanding of reassessments as a
revenue neutral process according to Statute, and to provide individual tax
change scenarios.
