Griffin Sweigart, a senior at Penn Manor High School, has been selected as Lancaster South Rotary Club’s Student of the Month for December, 2022.  He was presented to the Club by Baron Jones, Principal of Penn Manor High School.  
Griffin is the son of Gordon and Adrie Sweigart of Lancaster.                  
 
Griffin is a member of the marching band and has performed in the County Band Festival.  He enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragon and is a member of the school’s club.  
In the community, Griffin is a member of the Millersville Bible Church and Grace Church Youth Groups.
In his spare time, Griffin enjoys playing the tuba, participating in marching band, tutoring and spending time with his family and friends.
Following graduation, Griffin will enter the United State Marine Corp., and will begin basic training in September, 2023. 
 
 
Jenna Haldeman, a senior at Penn Manor High School, has been selected as Lancaster South Rotary Club’s Student of the Month for December, 2022. 
Jenna is the daughter of John and Sally Haldeman of Lancaster.                  
 
Jenna has earned Honor Roll recognition and is a member of the National Honor Society.  She is a member of the Civitas Club.  Jenna is a member of the Penn Manor girls’ Field Hockey and Lacrosse teams.  Jenna was named to the Pennsylvania All State Academic Team for field hockey and the NFHCA High School National Academic team.  She was an AP Scholar Award recipient and a 2022 LCYA (Lancaster County Young Artist) Gold Award winner.
In the community, Jenna volunteers as a coach for the Penn Manor Middle School girls’ lacrosse team and Penn Manor youth field hockey program.
In her spare time, Jenna enjoys playing field hockey and lacrosse, psychology, baking, ceramics and spending time with her family and friends.
Following graduation, Jenna plans to attend a four year college to study biomedical engineering.          
 
Student of the Month is selected on the basis of academic excellence as well as school and community service.
