Dorien Russell
Social Media Influencers and Best Practices
Dorien Russell is an Influencer and Social Media Marketing specialist with a passion for clothing and style. He's currently an Account Executive with a focus in Influencer Partnerships at PR agency, KWT Global in downtown Manhattan. Dorien graduated from Fordham University in 2018 with a degree in Communications and Culture and held a number of intern positions in the social media and fashion space at companies such as 300 Entertainment, Bloomingdales, and Barneys New York. 
 
Upon completing his undergraduate degree, he started his career at Barneys New York as the Influencer Partnerships coordinator, primarily focusing on influencer marketing campaigns to increase social media buzz and presence for Barneys New York and their fashion vendors such as Burberry, Chanel, and Alexander Wang. As the company went through changes with the news of the bankruptcy, Dorien accrued more responsibility and was promoted to Senior Social Media Specialist, managing both the company's social media platforms and influencer marketing projects to support them. 
 
In October 2019, Dorien transitioned from Barneys New York to PR agency HL Group, to continue on his career path in Influencer Marketing as the agency's Influencer Marketing Manager. In this role, Dorien executed organic and paid partnerships for brands in the fashion, lifestyle, and luxury space such as Bonobos, diptyque, and Klarna. Since then, HL Group merged with KWT Global, which is where Dorien currently works, overseeing influencer marketing campaigns for the aforementioned brands along with companies in the financial lending and horse feed spaces such as Laurel Road and Nutrena. 
 
In his spare time, Dorien also runs a small everyday-wear brand he launched in November of 2020 called Post No Bills as a passion project. The aim of the brand is to celebrate unique identities through clothing. He hopes to continue growing his small business in hopes of one day, potentially dedicating all of his time and energy to the brand.
